This Privacy Policy explains how Chargii Power Solutions Inc. ("Chargii", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use our website, mobile apps, stations, and related services (the "Services").

This page is the Privacy Policy URL for our website, the Chargii mobile app, the Apple App Store listing, and Facebook or Meta products that require a public policy link.

1. Who we are

Chargii is a power bank rental service operated by Chargii Power Solutions Inc.. To ask a privacy question, request access, or request deletion, email admin@chargii.rentals.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:

• Account information: email address, password (stored by our authentication provider in hashed form), name, phone number, and address.
• Rental information: station, device identifiers, start and end times, amounts charged, and return status.
• Payment information: payment method brand, last four digits, and processor tokens. Full card numbers are handled by our payment processor, not stored by Chargii.
• Merchant and partner information: business name, contacts, addresses, and agreement records if you apply to host a station.
• Communications: messages you send through forms, email, or in-app support.
• Technical and usage data: device type, app version, approximate location used to show nearby stations (when you allow it), IP address, and basic log data needed to operate and secure the Services.
• Social login data: if you sign in with Facebook, Apple, or another provider, we receive the identifiers and profile fields that provider shares with us (typically name and email) according to your settings with that provider.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to:

• Create and maintain your account.
• Start, manage, and complete rentals and payments.
• Show nearby stations and improve availability.
• Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
• Provide support and respond to requests.
• Meet legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
• Communicate service updates, receipts, and (where permitted) product news.

4. How we share information

We share information only as needed to operate the Services:

• Service providers: authentication and hosting (including Supabase), payments (including Stripe), email delivery, and website hosting.
• Social platforms: if you use Facebook Login or similar, that platform receives the data required to authenticate you, subject to that platform's terms.
• Partner locations: limited operational information may be needed to support a station at a host venue. Hosts do not receive your full account or payment details for ordinary rentals.
• Legal and safety: we may disclose information if required by law, or to protect users, partners, or Chargii from fraud or harm.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Payment processing

Card payments are processed by Stripe or another PCI-compliant processor. Their use of payment data is governed by their own privacy notices in addition to this policy.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

Our website and apps use cookies or local storage that are necessary to keep you signed in, remember language preferences, and keep the Services secure. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies.

7. Data retention

We keep account and rental records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to complete transactions, resolve disputes, and meet legal record-keeping duties. You can ask us to delete your account as described in our User Data Deletion Policy.

8. Your rights

Subject to Canadian privacy law (including PIPEDA) and other laws that apply to you, you may request to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Delete your account and associated personal information.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
• File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Send requests to admin@chargii.rentals. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

9. International transfers

We are based in Canada. Some providers may process data in other countries (including the United States). Those providers are required to protect the information with appropriate safeguards.

10. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

12. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be available at this URL, with the "Last updated" date at the top.
